You may have heard about the latest launch of Mac laptops from Apple which as a brand has long enjoyed the designer fan base. Now with Intel Inside it makes you wonder if they are even Mac laptops any more. They have the benefits of a Mac true enough, but if you are just going to run windows on them, why bother getting Mac technology? The Mac now comes with a split personality which has been advertised as a user friendly Mac with a large price tag to suit. So has this switch really been beneficial for Apple, was it worth the investment over five years of duel OS development?
Well in one way it has been largely tolerable because of the performance options it can deliver when compared to PowerPC which had an all together bleak outlook. This powerful notebook can also appeal to business men and other professionals who may not necessarily be comfortable with the traditional Mac. So graphic designers, web developers and illustrators may feel a little disappointed that this technology is no longer solely theirs but Mac is enjoying a larger audience and a more powerful notebook.
With the launch of the Core 2 Duo all of our laptop prayers had been answered for a short time but the question remains; exactly how much power can we get without overheating the system? It seemed Apple had hit a power barrier so the transfer to Intel Inside was a reasonable move. Now the future looks bright for a powerful Mac laptop.
